Invisible Hat Paradigm
Art Direction, Clothing & Textiles
Based on the deconstructed image of a Japanese firefighter’s hat from the Edo period. The Invisible Hat Paradigm project combines cross cultural references to present a new dialogue. One that through contrast and abstraction explores a diverse identity, within the self and within the idea of traditional dress making and millinery.
Woven textiles made with artisan Carmelo Alizo. Additional woven textiles by Maria Eugenia Davila.
